Travel Tips After an Enjoyable Trip to Hong Kong

I had a chance to go to Hong Kong and the following notes I did is to help you who are planning to travel there. You can apply them to any trip.

1. Nested Luggage

Hong Kong is known as a paradise for shopaholics with highly competitive prices. I realized that some items have double prices I used to buy. Therefore, it is not reasonable when you take out a half of your luggage, but it is a good idea if you use nested luggage. You can buy this at any luggage shop; even you can find the different sizes for the same bags. For example, if you put the small bag inside the bigger one, with this way, you can bring home all items you like during your traveling.

2. Taxi

Most of drivers in Hong Kong are very professional, competent and friendly. The cabs can contain 5 passengers. You can place your bags at the trunk or the boot. You should know that drivers are not good at English. I notice that they can not understand what I mean even i use slow intonations. Therefore, do not forget to bring a Hong Kong map and point at the address you want to come.

3. The MTR

The MTR stands for the train system of Hong Kong. Initially, I was very worried about getting lost but happily I chose the MTR. I really wanted to visit Hong Kong Disneyland and that's the reason why I took a taxi and pointed at the “Disneyland" on the map to the driver but he shake his head. I didn't know that the taxis of Hong Kong come in three colors: green, red and blue. The green ones are for New Territories, the red ones are for urban taxis and the blue ones are for urban taxis. Hence, I came back the hotel and find the way to the MTR station.

I went to the Disneyland easily but it was rather difficult for me to get a ticket. However, all things were be much simpler when I understood all functions of a ticket machine.

It was really comfortable when taking the train to the Disneyland. Since then, I seldom use taxis if they are not necessary and the MTR is always my first choice.
